My Experience With…
This space was built to be exactly what it sounds like—real people sharing what something actually feltlike for them. The stuff you don’t always find in medical articles or guides. Things like genetic testing, feeding tubes, behavior changes, planning for care… all of it.
It’s not meant to be the right way or the only way—just one perspective, shared honestly and openly. And somehow, when we let ourselves be that open and human, it brings us a little closer to each other.
& that’s really beautiful, you guys.

Want to add your experience to The Library?
“My Experience With” is a place to share your lived experience with caregiving for someone with a neurocognitive disease. These submissions can include anything from navigating behaviors, receiving a diagnosis, making care decisions, or reflecting on a specific moment or phase of the journey. There is no right or wrong…
It’s your experience.
A few things to keep in mind:
– Write from your personal experience
– Keep it honest and specific
– Aim for 300–800 words (flexible)
Submissions may be edited for clarity and length. Not all submissions will be published, but each one is read with care.
