Remembrance & Legacy
As Remember Me evolves from a podcast into a nonprofit foundation, two guiding pillars shape everything we aim to do: legacy and remembrance. These values have been at the center of our work from day one—and now, they form the foundation of our mission to serve and uplift the FTD community.
Legacy is about more than looking back. It’s about carrying forward the stories, the wisdom, and the humanity of those affected by FTD. Through our platform, we’ve learned that every family’s journey holds power—the power to educate, to inspire, and to create change. Our nonprofit will channel that power into tangible impact. By amplifying lived experiences, supporting research, and empowering care partners, we ensure that the legacies of those we’ve lost continue to move the conversation forward. We believe that honoring legacy is an act of advocacy.
Remembrance is the heartbeat of our work. It is the promise that no story fades quietly. Through storytelling, events, creative initiatives, and community rituals, we create space for reflection, connection, and healing. Remembrance allows families to feel seen, validated, and held. It preserves the individuality of each person impacted by FTD and reminds the world that behind every clinical term is a life filled with personality, humor, quirks, dreams, and love.
Together, legacy and remembrance guide our vision for the nonprofit sector:
to build a community where stories are preserved, families are supported, and awareness grows through the voices of those who have lived it. We honor the past while actively shaping a more informed, compassionate future.
Because when we remember, we don’t just look back—we build forward.
