Connection & Understanding

Connection and Understanding: The Core of Our Community

As our work expands into the nonprofit space, two additional pillars guide our mission: connection and understanding. These values reflect what the Remember Me community has always been—people finding one another in the hardest moments and discovering comfort, clarity, and strength through shared experience.

Connection is at the center of everything we do. FTD can isolate families—emotionally, physically, and socially. Our goal is to bridge those gaps. Through storytelling, support networks, events, and accessible resources, we create pathways for families to find one another and feel less alone. Connection builds community, and community builds resilience. When care partners, advocates, researchers, and loved ones come together, the collective support becomes a lifeline. We believe connection is both healing and transformative.

Understanding is the foundation that allows that connection to grow. FTD is complex, misunderstood, and often invisible. By elevating personal narratives, providing education, and partnering with experts, we work to bring clarity to a disease that desperately needs it. Understanding fosters empathy. It helps families navigate the unknown. It encourages better care, more informed conversations, and a more compassionate society. When people truly understand FTD, they show up differently—more gently, more patiently, more wholly.

Together, connection and understanding shape the kind of community we are committed to building: one where people feel supported, informed, and united in purpose. These pillars guide our efforts to bring families together, break down stigma, and create a world where no one walks the FTD journey in isolation.

Because when we connect—and when we understand—we grow stronger, together.
